The Habitat Assessment is an easy-to-use approach for identifying and assessing the elements of a property’s habitat. It is based on a simple protocol developed by the Plateau Biologists, using observations of property characteristics and major physical attributes. This assessment is useful as a screening tool to identify habitat stressors and a method for learning about your property’s ecosystems and environmental stewardship.
Your biologist will assess your goals, habitat diversity, and goals for stewardship to provide recommendations on activities that fulfill your vision and suit your budget. Plateau’s biology team will provide recommendations for target wildlife species and qualifying Wildlife Management activities.
A detailed report including an inventory of your land’s existing assets (favorable plants, soil types, etc.) and recommendations on habitat improvements. Maps are included.
