Accounting Clerk

Looking to take on a new challenge in a growing company? We are looking for an accounting clerk to assist the Controller with bookkeeping and accounting essential functions. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, great communicator and enjoys collaborating with people across different teams within the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Process accounts payable transactions ensuring proper documentation and approvals are present
  • Weekly check run – process checks due in a current week
  • Review, organize and code credit card expenses. Proactively correspond with appropriate users to resolve any outstanding or missing items.
  • Vendor/Contractor Accounts – set up new vendors/contractors obtaining proper documentation such as I9 and required paperwork and inquiries
  • Process deposits as needed
  • Accounts receivables including collections and billings
  • Process expense reports
  • Assist with compiling reporting on an as needed basis for cross-functional groups
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Prepare and organize monthly contract billings
  • Help to evaluate and implement processes and procedures to increase efficiency
  • Answer phones as needed


  • 3 to 5 years of experience in general bookkeeping and accounting
  • BS/BA in Accounting or related experience preferred
  • 2 to 3 years QuickBooks working experience required
  • Strong Excel, Word and MS Office skills

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant


This position will be responsible for answering multi-line phones and assisting with various administrative duties for affiliated companies that share a similar mission to assist landowners in protecting and preserving Texas’ open space.


  • Answer multi-line phones

Sales Administrative Assistant

Job Summary/Scope:

Plateau Land & Wildlife Management, Inc. is part of a growing family of companies located near Dripping Springs, Texas who provides a broad spectrum of services to clients who want to protect, preserve and enhance their land. The Administrative Assistant supports all service regions with support of the inside sales department. The Administrative Assistant makes sound and timely decisions, is resourceful, follows through on commitments, communicates effectively, instills trust, is adaptable to different situations, and builds strong customer relationships across all companies.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Support of insides sales through order entry, client tracking and reporting
  • Tracking workflow steps
  • Enter client information in SalesForce and track activity
  • Supporting the sales staff as needed
  • Additional duties in support of Sales and Marketing may include generating and/or modifying sales orders, data entry, report creation, list generation, and assisting with annual service agreement renewals.
  • Delegate and prioritize responsibilities – The administrative assistant will be expected to prioritize day to day responsibilities in a way that meets the objectives of exceptional customer service and high efficiency.
  • Answering phones, making copies and filing when necessary

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Region Manager


The Regional salesperson is responsible for the promotion of Plateau services and products and the assurance of continued growth, development and profitability in their region using diverse marketing and sales strategies appropriate to their market segments. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Region Manager is responsible for the sales of Plateau’s wildlife management tax consulting services and products.


  • Understand and convey the Plateau Mission, Vision and Values including Plateau methods and standards for providing service.
  • Understand Plateau branding and incorporate into daily practice.
  • Work in a collegial and supportive manner with all Plateau staff to increase sales and provide the best experience for Plateau’s clients.
  • Sales of Plateau consulting, products and services, using telephone and email to market and sell products and services.
  • Follow up with marketing collateral sent to clients and prospects for the purpose of selling services and products.
  • Contact industry partners to promote Plateau services and solicit their referrals.
  • Present training to realtors on wildlife management tax valuation.
  • Present seminars to rural landowners to describe and market Plateau services and products.
  • Follow up with seminar attendees to promote and sell Plateau services and products.
  • Provide account management to and foster relationships with current Plateau clients.
  • Work closely with Plateau biologists to support their sales efforts with information and guidance in sales techniques.
  • Promptly enter and update prospect and client information in Plateau’s contact database.
  • Complete and submit reports to the Director of Sales as directed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree with 2+ years outside sales experience
  • Knowledge and experience with the outdoors and wildlife
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication as well as excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to generate leads and follow them through in a timely fashion
