Wildlife Services Technician - Central Texas

Recent Wildlife Biology graduate looking for relevant work experience in a wildlife management field? Current ranch hand looking for a change of pace or just enjoy hard work while outside on private rural Texas properties? Plateau Land & Wildlife Management has an ideal position for you! We are looking to fill our Central Texas Region Wildlife Services Technician position to keep up with the growth of our clients in counties north of Austin, Texas. 

Wildlife Services Technicians receive paid training as they team up with other Products & Services Division technicians to learn routines and procedures. Job responsibilities include installing and servicing wildlife feeders, songbird nesting boxes, and rainwater collection systems, in addition to surveying and treating for Imported Red Fire Ants, brush management, herbicide application for prickly pear control, spotlight or game camera deer surveys, and data collection/field documentation. Once trained, Wildlife Services Technicians will work solo or in teams with other Wildlife Services Technicians performing these services and more for our land owner clients throughout our Central Texas Region. 

The Central Texas Wildlife Services Technician will operate a company vehicle to be provided for use during business hours for business purposes. In order to operate company vehicles, applicants must have a clean driving record and current driver’s license. A background and driving record check will be performed for applicants under consideration. As our service region includes several counties, expect extended drive times and varied end times based on job completion. 

Williamson County based Wildlife Services Technician Wanted 

Wildlife Services staff start the work day at 7:00AM, Monday through Friday, and should anticipate overtime. The work is hard, but the job is fulfilling, and your coworkers and support staff are incredible! Start building your wildlife related career with us. Wildlife biology or natural resources degree is beneficial, but NOT required for employment consideration.

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with iOS (iPad), Microsoft and Adobe software and applications

  • Excellent stamina: This position requires extended hiking in irregular terrain 
  • Ability to work in harsh weather conditions such as triple digit heat, rain, and cold 
  • Off road driving experience with four-wheel drive vehicles 
  • Ability to tow and back a utility trailer utilizing mirrors 
  • Able to routinely lift and handle 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to load and unload heavy products to/from utility trailers or truck beds 
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Customer service experience 
  • Automotive maintenance experience 
  • OTR or delivery driving 
  • Navigation & Backcountry orienteering 
  • First Aid/CPR/Wilderness First Aid Training Certification 
  • Experience with power tools and chainsaws

Sales Administrative Assistant

Job Title:    Administrative Assistant – Sales Team
Status:          Full time, Non-exempt
Hours:         M-F, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Reports to: Director of Sales     


Seeking an experienced individual looking to work in our Dripping Springs office with our great sales team.  We are looking for someone to assist our team of region managers with research, document preparation and communication.  This person will work with some awesome folks looking to help rural landowners around the state of Texas. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Support of insides sales through order entry, client tracking and reporting
  • Enter client information in SalesForce and track activity
  • Supporting the sales staff as needed
  • Additional duties in support of Sales team may include generating and/or modifying sales orders, data entry, report creation
  • Delegate and prioritize responsibilities – The administrative assistant will be expected to prioritize day to day responsibilities in a way that meets the objectives of exceptional customer service and high efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat necessary
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication as well as excellent interpersonal skills
